Carol Montavon Bealor

The Honorable Carol Montavon Bealor ’93 J.D. was reappointed to the Michigan Tribal State Federal Judicial Forum by the Michigan Supreme Court for a term commencing on July 1, 2022, and ending on July 1, 2025. She has served on the Cass County (Mich.) Probate Court since November 2021.

Lois Young Cortell

Lois Young ’93 Cortell is currently working in Montgomery, Alabama, advancing blight removal and community development. In April 2022, the city’s USA Today-associated newspaper, the Montgomery Advertiser, named her Community Hero of the Month; she received a formal honor at a July 2022 ceremony.

James W. Harkness ’93, ’96 J.D. was named partner at the Chicago and Lisle, Illinois, offices of Swanson, Martin & Bell LLP in Dec. 2019.

Brock Lloyd

Brock Lloyd ’93 of the financial services firm Edward Jones in Valparaiso recently won the firm’s Jim McKenzie Award for his exceptional achievement in building client relationships. Brock was one of 1,869 of the firm’s more than 18,000 financial advisors to receive the award. The award is named after Jim McKenzie, who, following in his father’s footsteps, joined Edward Jones in 1962 and opened a branch in Kearney, Nebraska.
