Patrick Lay

“Death Strikes: The Emperor of Atlantis” will be released on January 23rd, 2024 in book stores and January 24th in comic stores. “Death Strikes: The Emperor of Atlantis” is a timely and timeless original graphic novel by EFF journalist Dave Maass and artist/Valpo alum, Patrick Lay ’09, based on a suppressed opera written by two concentration camp prisoners. In 1943 Peter Kien and Viktor Ullmann, two prisoners at Hitler’s Terezín concentration camp in Czechoslovakia, created a gripping one-act opera.

Gretchen Roby ’09 married Patrick Lay ’09  on Oct. 4, 2014 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. Patrick was also accepted to the MFA in comics program at the California College of the Arts. He started in July 2015.

Joshua and Angela Logan Martin

Joshua ’09 and Angela Logan ’09 Martin married July 30, 2011, and reside in Traverse City, Mich. They have a daughter, Hannah Marie Martin, born July 5, 2014.

Julie Remschneider ’09 MALS was hired as program coordinator for the Northwest Indiana Education Service Center in Chesterton where she plans and develops professional development for schools and hosts Curriculum Council meetings with school corporations.
