Daniel Avila
Daniel Avila ’83 J.D. was ordained to the permanent diaconate for the Roman Catholic Church on January 7, 2023 by Bishop Kevin C. Rhoades of the Fort Wayne-South Bend Diocese. Deacon Avila is assigned to St. Joseph and St. Catherine Parishes in Roanoke/Nix Settlement IN. He and his wife Elaine live in nearby Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Paul Chambers
Paul Chambers ’83 is a retired CNN news anchor (1995–2012) now living in his hometown of Garland, Texas, with his wife, Ruth. This past spring, he handled publicity for the upcoming 100th anniversary of Central Lutheran Church of Dallas. The church was founded in 1922 at the Downtown Dallas YMCA. The 100th birthday celebration took place during the weekend of July 22–24, 2022.

Rev. Dan Borchers
Rev. Dan Borchers ’83 has recently become board certified by the Association of Professional Chaplains. He serves as chaplain at Holy Family Memorial Hospital in Manitowoc, Wisconsin.

Paul Christian Chambers
Paul Christian Chambers ’83 is currently enjoying retirement in his hometown of Garland, Texas. Paul continues to review films at moviechambers.com, and he and his wife are members of the Ascension Lutheran Church in Garland, Texas. Prior to retirement, Paul was a broadcast news anchor for more than 30 years, including 17 years at CNN, Atlanta.
