December 2018 Commencement

Frederick Niedner, Th.D., senior research professor at Valparaiso University, delivered the December Commencement address as we celebrated the accomplishments of 218 undergraduate, graduate, and law students. The December 2018 class — who will go on to exciting careers as entrepreneurs, lawyers, nurses, engineers, musicians, leaders, and much more — were offered a profound message recognizing that Valpo will remain part of who they are — forever. “We give thanks with you for all that you have accomplished, all that you have learned, all the ways you have grown, all the friendships that you have built here, for the grooves and the ruts of this community’s habits and songs made on your soul that follow you wherever you go.”
